Mrs. Virginia M. Simmons, 74

UNION CITY, TN Mrs. Virginia Mae Phillips Simmons, 74 of 5569 Mt. Olive Road, formerly of Autryville, NC, died on Friday, August 3, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Long Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Spell officiating. Burial will follow in the Lonie Carter Cemetery. Mrs. Simmons was born in 1933 in Sampson County, NC. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Simmons is survived by: three sons, Dennis Wayne Simmons of Wade, NC, Larry Thomas Simmons of South Fulton, TN, and Scotty Keith Simmons of Riverview, FL; two daughters, Delores Ann Slaughter of Troy, TN, and Cindy Hope Hutchison of Union City, TN; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC.
