Mrs. Virginia Florence Dunahoo Lanier, 87

ROSEBORO Mrs. Virginia Florence Dunahoo Lanier, 87 of 507 W. Pinewood Street, Roseboro, died on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Autumn Wind of Roseboro. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, December 9, 2011 at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro, Georgia. Mrs. Lanier was born on June 24, 1924 in Columbus, Georgia, to the late William and Maggie Nix Dunahoo. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Lewis Allen Lanier. She lived in East Point, Georgia, for 45 years then became a resident of Autumn Wind in Roseboro for seven years. She was a homemaker. She is survived by: four cousins, Linda Hall and Kathy Kinzly both of Godwin, Robert C. Wilkes of Bessemer City and Jeffery C. Wilkes of Gastonia. The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 1 to 2 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
