Mrs. Virginia Frances Carter, 84

FAYETTEVILLE

Virginia "Frances" Carter, 84 of Fayetteville, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 5, 2016.

Her love of life began on October 23, 1931 to James Hearbey and Annie Burgess Carter. She married her love, James Stanley Carter, Sr., on July 11, 1950. Frances Carter never met a stranger. She had a love and mothering instinct for everyone. "You made us laugh, you made us think, your infectious laughter, your everyday spunk. You loved us all, we felt it in our hearts. You are now our angel and we will always love you. You are free today. You will be forever in our minds, hearts, and our memories."

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, David S. Carter; and brother, Lonnie Mack Carter.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Carter of Fayetteville; sons, Stan Carter and wife Naomi, Steven Carter and wife Jan, all of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Billy Carter, Christopher Carter, Dana Boykin and husband Steven; great grandchildren, Davina Starling, Joshua Boykin; brother, JP Carter and wife Lora of Fayetteville; and sister-in-law, Ruth Carter of Fayetteville.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 9, at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy with Reverend Donald Baldwin, Reverend Louis Pender, and Reverend Jeff Burkhardt officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stedman Church of God of Prophecy, 5371 NC Highway 210 S., Stedman, NC 28391.
