Mrs. Violet L. Daughtry, 83

NEWTON GROVE Mrs. Violet Lee Daughtry, 83 of 202 Harper House Road, died on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Mary's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Gore and Rev. Scott Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Daughtry was born on April 21, 1927 in Johnston County to the late Edward Augusta and Ellen Eldridge Lee. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Duncan Lewis Daughtry. She was a retired Hairdresser. She is survived by: one daughter, Mary D. Schwartz and husband, George of Newton Grove; one son, Duncan Lee Daughtry and wife, Kay of Newport; seven grandchildren, Meredith McLamb and Melissa McLamb both of Cary, Matthew Daughtry of Charlotte, Dana Paulus, Jr. of Tennessee, Doug Paulus of Morehead City, Debra Paulus and Dawn Paulus both of Jacksonsville; and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 1 to 2 P.M. at Mary's Chapel Baptist Church, 2230 Keener Road, Clinton, and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534. Arrangements by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
