Vernon “Lynn” Ivey, 74 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at this home surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Clyde Ivey and Jessie West Ivey; brothers, Bobby Wayne Ivey (& wife Geneva) and Ted Waylon Ivey; and brother-in-law, Donald Melvin.

Lynn enjoyed many years working with Valley Auto Parts and completed his professional career with 14 years at Tire Sales and Service. Lynn worshiped with his family at Cedar Creek Baptist Church where he was a long time member.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Brenda Robinson Ivey of the home; Kristy Johnson of Cedar Creek, Sara I. Cariaso & husband Aldrino “JoJo” of Sneads Ferry, Dwight Ivey & wife Jennifer of Eastover, and David Ivey & wife Kasey of Eastover; and sisters Shirley Melvin of Fayetteville, and Linda Thompson & husband Fate of Cary. He was also the proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren; Erica, Amanda, Schyler, Sydney, Kai, and Dailey.

Lynn believed that a life full of love and adventure shared with family and friends was the best measure of a life well-lived.

In honor of this, the family will receive guests to share in his life celebration on Thursday, January 18 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman NC 28391.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 4170 Tabor Church Road, Fayetteville NC 28312
