Mrs. Velva B. Little, 69

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Velva Bass Williams Little, 69 of 3531 Godwin Circle, died on Monday, February 8, 2010 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Roger White and Rev. Leon Keefe officiating. Burial will follow at the Salemburg Cemetery. She was born on December 30, 1940 and was a native of Sampson County. She is preceded in death by her parents, Weldon and Thelma Boyette Bass of Newton Grove, and her first husband, Tyson Williams of Salemburg. She is survived by: her husband, Milton Little of the home; one daughter, Cyndie Young of Santa Barbara, CA; one son, Joel Williams of Fayetteville; one step-son, Milton Little, Jr. of Wilson; two step-daughters, Tina Mellott of Warfordsburg, PA, and Sharon Allen of Wilson; one brother, Haywood Bass of Clinton; three sisters, Mattie Sumner and Dorothy Bass of Newton Grove, and Karon Satterfield of Clinton; and seven grandchildren, Sydney, Zackary, Cameron, Collin, Jessie, Ariel and Joshua. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, and other times at the home. Arrangements by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
