Mrs. Velma West Carter, 79

AUTRYVILLE

Mrs. Velma West Carter 79, of 1348 Holland Road, Autryville, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Lonnie Carter Cemetery, Autryville Road, Autryville.

Mrs. Carter was born on December 28, 1935 in Sampson County to the late Felton and Mildred Lee West. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Joe Cyrus Carter. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by four children, Wanda Purvis and husband Sonny of Greenville, J.C. Carter, Jr. of Benson, Jimmy Carter of Autryville and Brenda Honeycutt and husband Richard of Godwin; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
