Mrs. Vadie Richards McLamb, 98 of Autryville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Home in Goldsboro.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2024 at Baptist Chapel Church with Rev. Alan Roberts officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:50 PM on Friday at Baptist Chapel Church prior to the service.  At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Trudy and Hughie Wrench, 89 Vallie Lane, Autryville, NC.

Mrs. McLamb was born in Wake County on January 12,1926 . She was the daughter of Buck and Nellie Roberson Richards.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin McLamb, Jr., a granddaughter, Reneé Wheeler Misenheimer; and six brothers and three sisters.  She was seamstress and manager of a Sewing Factory.  She was a member of Baptist Chapel Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Wheeler and husband, Jerry of Burgaw and Trudy Wrench and husband, Hughie of Autryville; three grandchildren, Erika Wrench and husband, Wayne, Andrew Wrench and Scott Wrench; four great grandchildren, Heather, Nathan, Emma Grace and Reagan; a sister, Arie Jane Horton.

Flowers are welcome, but donations may also be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Home, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC  27534.
