Trudy Ann (Dillinger) Burr

Ms. Trudy Ann (Dillinger) Burr, 79 of Polkton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Anson Memorial Park, 40 Lake Park Drive, Wadesboro, NC  28170 with the Reverend Andy Wood officiating.

Trudy was born in Granville County, the daughter of Evin Larence and Ada Frances Dickerson Dillinger. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Kelly Glenn Watson.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Trudy's greatest joy in life was her family.  She cherished every moment with them and was known for her warm heart, her strong faith, and her unshakable love.  Trudy worked hard throughout her life, owning and operating IHOP as well as her own business, Trudy's Grill in Henderson.  She loved gardening, bird watching, and especially cooking for her family, which brought her the most joy.  She loved the Lord deeply and lived each day as a testimony to her faith and devotion.

She leaves to treasure her memory, her husband, Ronnie Burr, Sr. of Rockingham; five children, Timothy Burr of Polkton, Ronnie Burr, Jr. of Clinton; Phillip Burr of Wadesboro, Clint Burr of Rockingham; and Rhonda Burr of Rockingham; her grandchildren, Timothy Burr, Justin Burr, Michael Burr, Victoria Burr, Brittany Burr, Dillon Burr, Chase Burr, Amelia Frances Burr (named in honor of her mother), Lil' Tommy Burr, Sierra Burr, Sheldon Philmon and Kylie Watson; and her great-grandchildren, Valerie Ann (lovingly named after her), Timothy, Cameron, Brailynn, Lisa, Elizabeth and Tanner Sauls.

Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will continue to live one in the hearts of all who knew her.
