ROSEBORO
Mrs. Tishie Mae Benton Beasley, 90 of 408 W. North Street, died on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Southwood Nursing and Retirement in Clinton.
The funeral will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Smith and Rev. Wesley Britt officiating. Burial will follow at Roseboro Cemetery.
Mrs. Beasley was born on January 15, 1921 in Dillon County, SC, to the late George W. and Molly Elkin Benton. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse W. Beasley, Sr.; her son, Jesse W. Beasley, Jr.; and her daughter, Brenda B. Parker. After working for many years as a textile worker at Roseboro Milling Company, she worked with her husband in their dry cleaning and laundry business until she retired. She was a member of the Roseboro Church of God.
She is survived by: one daughter, Betty B. Martin and husband, Garland of Kernersville; a son-in-law, Bobby Gene Parker of Roseboro; one sister, Georgia B. Autry of Roseboro; six grandchildren, Bobby Gene Parker, Jr., Curtis Dean Parker, Mary Beth Jacobs, Dennis Alford, Larry Yaw and Chris Yaw; and 12 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
The family is deeply appreciative to the NC Independent Living Program and to her caregivers and friends, Jean Johnson and Evelyn and Felix Gardner. Also a special thanks to the staff of Southwood Nursing and Retirement Center and to Liberty Hospice.The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
