Mr. Thomas Edward "Tommy" Smith, 77

Mr. Thomas Edward "Tommy" Smith, 77 of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, May 4, 2015 at Live Oak United Methodist Church with Rev. Jonathan Mills and Rev. Joyce Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Smith was born on October 29, 1937 in Bladen County to the late Charles C. and Elma Lee Davis Smith. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Anthony Smith; a granddaughter, Sarah Colleen Smith; two brothers, Ervin Smith and Cecil Smith and one sister, Anita Calloway. He was a masonry contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Smith of the home; one son, Brian Scott Smith and wife, Nydzia R. Smith of Fayetteville; one sister, Elda Smith Riley of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Morgan N. Smith and Paul A. Smith.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
