Mr. Thomas Rayvon "Mann" Fann, Sr., 75 of 1119 McPhail Road, died on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Allen West and Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Fann was born on November 30, 1935 in Sampson County to the late Alphues Lee and Maggie McPhail Fann. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Pete Fann. He served in the U.S. Army and retired as a Machinist with Williams Engine Shop in Clinton.
He is survived by: his wife of 51 years, Mabel Fann of the home; five children, Lee Fann and wife Connie and Tommy Fann and wife Denise both of Roseboro, Tammy Johnson and husband Kevin of Salemburg, Lora Fann of Pinehurst and Christy Myers and husband Ronnie of Dunn; nine grandchildren, Chrystal Sylvester, Alphus Fann, Austin Fann, Grant Johnson, Andrew Myers, Taylor Fann, Zackery Fann, Ethan Myers and Emily Myers; and two step-grandchildren, Dana McGuirt and Ashelyn Myers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Union Grove Baptist Church, 395 Vander Road, Salemburg, and other times at the home.
