Mrs. Thetus Mae Walker Jones, 81

Mrs. Thetus Mae Walker Jones, 81 of 3233 John Hall Road, Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at her home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 28, at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, with Pastor Kenneth Jones and Pastor Helen Hysell officiating. Interment will follow at Briar Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, Elizabethtown.

Mrs. Jones was born on May 3, 1934 in Robeson County and is preceded in death by her parents, David Clyde and Georgia Milligan Walker; and six siblings, Mary Fox, Dot Shad, Viola Bates, David Clyde Walker, Jr., Philip "Dick" Walker, and Phyllis "Toots" Welborn. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold L. Jones of the home; eight children, Sammy and Laura Raynor of Stedman, Kathy and Mike Middleton of Fayetteville, Sheila and John York of White Oak, Buddy and Robin Raynor of Wade, Helen and Yogi Hysell of Fayetteville, Angel and Ed Craddick of Fayetteville, Arnold and Lora Jones of Fayetteville, and Kenneth and Rhonda Jones of Parkton; two brothers, Frank Walker of Tampa, FL, and Edgar Glenn Walker of Fayetteville; one sister, Kay Nix of LaGrange, GA; 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

The visitation will be held from 1:00 to 1:45 pm Thursday, January 28, at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, and other times at the home.
