Mrs. Thelma Ruth Collier Shipman, 86

Mrs. Thelma Ruth Collier Shipman, 86, of 203 Ronnie Road, Autryville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with Bishop Warren Barfield and Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Wiley Autry Cemetery. Mrs. Shipman was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of the late Henry Grady and Julia Elizabeth Faircloth Autry. She worked at Roseboro Manufacturing before retiring. Mrs. Shipman is survived by: five daughters, Elizabeth Barefoot, Rita Morrison and Lydia Wrench, all of Autryville and Edna Dickey, of Raleigh and Vivian Jackson, of Stedman; son, Grady Preston Collier, of Salemburg; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will recieve friends Friday night from 7 till 9 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
