Teresa Williams Vernon, 66 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Pastor Lutrell Spell and Pastor Larry McCarty.  Burial will follow at Williams Family Cemetery in Autryville.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the funeral home, and at other times at Pam’s house (1378 Leroy Autry Road, Autryville).

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Obie “Alvin” Williams and Sallie Herring Williams; sister, Nancy Hobson; and her nephews, Michael Williams and Laroy Williams.

She worked as a meat inspector for the USDA for many years.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, John Vernon (Jaimisson) of the home; sisters, Pam Williams (Marty) of Autryville and Glenda Lynch of Salemburg; brother, J L “Jabo” Williams of Autryville; nieces, Missy Williams Sessoms (Chris), and Kristy Salgado (Chris); nephews, Darby Lynch (Kelly), Casey Lynch (Tori), Jason Hobson (Brandi) and Donnie Williams (Jennifer); and her canine best buddy, Scamper.
