Mrs. Sylvia Sessoms Gooden, 82 of Elizabethtown went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 5, 2024 at Bladen Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Woodruff officiating.
Mrs. Gooden was a native of Bladen County, the daughter of Edward and Eleanor Butler Sessoms. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phillip Gooden; daughter, Donna Gooden and sister, Nancy Sessoms.
She is survived by a granddaughter, Pamela Rice of the home; grandson, Travis Rice of Bladenboro; three great granddaughters, Skyler Guyton, Elyn Rice and Ada Rice; brother, Edward Sessoms, Jr. of Clinton.
