Mrs. Sylvia Faye Register, 80

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Sylvia Faye Barrett Register, 80, of Fayetteville died Tuesday, April 22 at Haymount Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. She was a retired domestic aide worker. She was a native of Cumberland County, the daughter of the late William Lawrence Barrett and Ethel May Graddy Barrett. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Jean Atkins and a son, Allie Rich Register, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 26 at Victory Methodist Church in Fayetteville. The family will greet friends at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Mrs. Register is survived by two daughters, Amy Altland (husband Ricky) of Fayetteville and Renee McLaney (husband Lester) also of Fayetteville; one sister, Trudy Ludlum of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Lisa Ann Kivett, Windy Parker, James Bethea Scott, Jr., James Altland, Coby Altland, James Mitton and J.R. Register; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 26 at Victory Methodist Church in Fayetteville. The family will greet friends at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.
