Ms. Sylvia J. Comer, 68

FAYETTEVILLE Ms. Sylvia Jennette Comer, age 68, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 3 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Long officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Ms. Comer was born on January 21, 1940 in Fort Bragg to the late Walter and Louise Denton. She retired from Fayetteville Public Works Commission after 15 years of service. Ms. Comer is survived by: one son, Donald Ray Comer and wife Tracey of Autryville; one brother, Elry F. Denton and wife Maria of Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Lauren and Rachel Comer; and a nephew, Mark Denton. Family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 2 until 3 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, in Stedman.
