Ms. Suzie Royal Fann, 67

CLINTON Suzie Royal Fann, 67 of Clinton, died peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2015 at the home of her caregivers, Pete and Margaret Berry in Wilmington, NC. She was born in Fayetteville, NC, on September 16, 1948. She was preceded in death by her parents, R.H. and Hursie Dowd Royal. Suzie graduated from Stedman High School in 1966 and then moved to Philadelphia, PA, where she worked at the Gingham House Restaurant for 18 years. After returning to Clinton, NC, she worked at Leisure Living Restaurant and later became owner and manager of Lakewood Plaza Restaurant in Roseboro, NC. Suzie is survived by her sister, Carolyn Vann; sister, Rose and husband Johnny Vann; sister, Marie and husband Ronnie Wheeler; brother, Raeford “Jr” and wife Hope Royal all of Clinton, NC; and sister, Margaret and husband Pete Berry of Wilmington, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. Suzie will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, NC, on Saturday, October 3 at 2:00 pm. The visitation will be held from 1:00 to 1:45 pm. A graveside service will follow at the Clinton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
