Mrs. Susan Irene (Roy) McLamb, 69 of Roseboro went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at her home in North Carolina with her husband.

No services will be held at this time.

Mrs. McLamb was born on July 19, 1954 in Farmington, Maine to the late Raymond G. and Yolande A Rheaume Roy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Thomas K McLamb of Roseboro; her step-son, James McLamb and family of Waterville, ME; two sisters, Eva Henry and husband, Gary of Jay, ME; and Diane Hodge and husband, Joe of Winthrop, ME; her brother, John Roy and wife, Vivian of Rome, ME; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Shirley Cooper of Salemburg; Wanda and Roy Williams of Roseboro; and Linda and Larry Baggett of Godwin; and many nieces and nephews in Maine and North Carolina.

Susan passed peacefully at home with her husband, Thomas, and hospice nurses. Susan was diagnosed with degenerative nerve disease in 2019.  She fought a good battle until lately but she is in a better place and resting now. She was a tough person.  In her young years,she hitched hiked to California from Maine.

Susan enjoyed many things within her life time. Playing billiards and she was pretty good, she used to play in tournaments. She loved to cross stitch pictures and she worked with stain glass. She enjoyed working with her lilies out in the yard always early in the morning before the bugs got out. Within the last few years she did a lot of puzzles and word searches. We knew this day would come but not this quick. She just enjoyed sitting on the back deck in Maine and listening to the birds and hummingbirds. All I can say is that I will miss her bug eyes and spending what time she had with her granddaughter, Charlotte May.
