Mrs. Susan Juanita Gore, 85

CLINTON Susan Juanita Gore, 85, of Clinton, NC, and formerly of Wilmington, NC, went home to be with the Lord, December 1, 2010, at Sampson Regional Medical Center, Clinton, NC. Born in Brunswick County, NC, she was the wife of the late Corbett Cline Gore, Sr., and a daughter of the late Rev. Austin and Sarah Lundy "Gigi" Leonard Hewett. She was a member of Pine Valley Church of God, Wilmington, NC, and most recently attended Roseboro Church of God. She was a retired cafeteria manager with the New Hanover County School System. She is survived by three sons - C. Cline Gore, Jr. of Blacksburg, SC, Rev. Daniel Gore of Roseboro, NC, and Rev. Ottis Gore of Gray Court, NC; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters - Shirley Garris of Apex, NC, Hazel Howell of Goldsboro, NC, Donnie Robbins, Concord, NC, and Charlotte McAfee, Trenton, NJ; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers - Ottis Hewett, Daniel Hewett, Cyrus Hewett, and Phillip Hewett; and one sister - Sara Nan Garner. The family will receive friends Friday evening, December 3, 2010, from 5-7:00 PM at Roseboro Church of God, Roseboro, NC. A Celebration Of Life Service will begin at 7:00 PM with Revs. Daniel Gore, Ottis Gore and John Chiara officiating. At other times the family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Kim, 240 Microwave Tower Road, Roseboro, NC. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010, 11:30 AM, at Oleander Memorial Gardens, Wilmington, NC, with Rev. Richard Williford officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
