Mr. Strauce “Kinsey” Kenzogg Smith, 78 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Reverend Joshua Hughes, Reverend Mike Shook and Thomas Hammon officiating.  The burial will follow at Smith Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 4, 2022 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

Mr. Smith was a native of Sampson County, the son of Leo and Mitt Bullard Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Deanna Smith; his sister, Wanda Parnell; and his brother, Mervin Smith.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Margaret Smith of the home; his daughter, Lacosta Hammon and husband, Thomas of Smithfield; his son, Waylon Smith of Roseboro; six grandchildren; his sister, Gail Corcelius and husband, Gerald of Bladenboro; his brother-in-law, Bobby Parnell of Bladenboro; his cat, Teddie Roosevelt; and his hog, Cleopatra.

Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC 28382.
