Mr. Steve Edward Russell, Sr.

STEDMAN Retired Fire Captain Steve Edward Russell, Sr., 66, of Stedman was called to be with our Lord on February 9, 2008 in his home. Mr. Russell served the City of Fayetteville Fire Department for 25 years. He was considered to be a hardworking and devoted husband, father and friend. He was preceded in death by his son, Fireman Steve "Buddy" Russell, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Betty Stewart Russell, of the home; daughter, Lynn Russell, of Fayetteville; three grandchildrenKrristin Russell Raja, of Fayetteville, Stewart Stafford, of Illinois and Katie Russell, of Fayetteville; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Stafford, of Stedman, Azlyn Raja and Noah Raja, both of Fayetteville; two brothers, Floyd Russell, of Stedman and Jackie Hartley, of South Carolina; sister, Vickie O'Hern, of Fayetteville. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008 at 1:00 p. m. at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville. The family will recieve friends from 7 - 9 p. m. Monday at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
