STEDMAN Mr. Stacy Rupert Carr, Jr., 76 of 560 of Fred Hall Road, died on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. The funeral will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. at Stedman Baptist Church with Dr. Phil Spears officiating. Burial will follow at Fisher Cemetery. Mr. Carr was born on July 26, 1934 in Cumberland County to the late Stacy Rupert and Rachel Homes Carr, Sr. He was a super salesperson working with Horne's Furniture and Appliance in Stedman for 30 years. He is survived by: his wife, Betty Sloan Carr of the home; two sons, Stacy "Skip" Carr, III of Stedman and Charlie Joas of Roseboro; one daughter, Alesia Brown of Stedman; two grandchildren, Morgan Sloan Brown and Carley Jaye Joas; and four sisters, Patricia Horne of Fayetteville, Mary Jon Hall of Critz, VA, Janet Barnes and Charlotte Shaw both of Stedman. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:30 to 4:00 P.M. at Stedman Baptist Church and other times at the home.
