Mrs. Shirley Ann Knowles Ezzell, 81

EASTOVER Mrs. Shirley Ann Knowles Ezzell, 81 of 3532 Dunn Road, died Sunday at the Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman with Dr. Odell Peterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ezzell Family Cemetery in Autryville. Mrs. Ezzell was born on July 5, 1931 in Sampson County to the late John Edward and Annie Draughon Knowles. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Ezzell; three daughters, Sandra Green, Sharon Smith and Mary Ann Ezzell; two grandchildren, Bobbie Beard and Timothy Beard. She was a newspaper carrier for The Fayetteville Observer. She is survived by one daughter, Kay Beard of Hope Mills; one son, Danny Ezzell of Raleigh; one brother, Bobby Knowles of Autryville; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7-9 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
