AUTRYVILLE
Ms. Shirley Tart Gervais, 78 of 277 E. Old Stage Road, Autryville, died on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The funeral will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, September 12, 2014 at South River Community Church, Wade, with Rev. Lynn McLaurin officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Baptist Church Cemetery in Clinton.
Ms. Gervais was born on April 25, 1936 in Sampson County to the late Leslie E. and Lottie Smith Tart, Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Madeline Vann, L.E. Tart, Jr. and Dorothy Butler. She was a retired Accountant from Jackson Farming Company.
She is survived by one daughter, Lorie Tyndall of Autryville; two granddaughters, Shannon Thornburg and Jennifer McInroy; two step grandchildren, Travis Tyndall and Joanna Tyndall; four great grandchildren, Haley, Jax, Jordan and Gracie; two brothers, Eugene Tart of Clinton and J.C. Tart of Goldsboro; and two sisters, Bonnie Carter of Winston Salem and Elizabeth Harrell of Clinton.
The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 3:00 to 3:45 P.M. at South River Community Church, 6092 Goldsboro Highway, Wade, and other times at the home of her daughter, 55 Creekstone Lane, Autryville.
