Mrs. Shelby F. Strickland, 73

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Shelby Faircloth Strickland, 73 of 1894 Evans Dairy Road, died on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at her home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Donald Baldwin and Rev. Hester Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Strickland was born on June 10, 1937 in Cumberland County and was the daughter of the late Donald Raymond and Anna Miranda Cashwell Faircloth. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Strickland is survived by: her husband, Ralph Strickland of the home; four children, Lequita Stinson of Fayetteville, Elnita Horne of Stedman, Jo'Leita Evans of Fayetteville and Donald F. Strickland of the home; two sisters, Jean Sessoms of Autryville and Katherine Faircloth of Fayetteville; one brother, D.W. Faircloth of Richmond, VA; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, and other times at home. Arrangements by Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
