Mrs. Selma Carter West, 82

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Selma Carter West, 82 of 9663 Turnbull Road, Fayetteville, died on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Wingo and Rev. Larry West officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. West was born on December 25, 1929 in Cumberland County to the late Albert and Mittie Bullard Carter. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl West; and one son, Eddie West. She was a homemaker. She is survived by: two sons, George B. West and Larry West both of Fayetteville; one daughter, Carolyn W. Eskew of Fayetteville; one sister, Louise Blackburn of Fayetteville; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sharon Baptist Church Building Fund, 9957 Turnbull Road, Fayetteville, NC 28312. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
