ROSEBORO Mr. Scott Douglas Ayres, 54 of 316 Sumner Avenue, died on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Sampson Regional Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Rev. Tom Penny, Rev. James Brewington and Rev. Jimmie Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Roseboro Cemetery. He was born on January 28, 1960 in Cortland, New York. He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Douglas Ayres. He was employed with Murphy Brown. Mr. Ayres is survived by his wife, Kaye Ayres of the home; three daughters, Kaye Brewington of Roseboro, Peggy White and Charlene Garrett both of Andrews, NC; one son, Phillip Ayres of Andrews, NC; step-daughter, Melissa Kruize of Roseboro; his mother and step father, Lola and Larry Anderson of Garland; three brothers, Steve Ayres of New York, Doug Ayres of Vander and Shelton Ayres of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mollie Browers of Missouri and Cindy Blackmon of Garland; 11 grandchildren and three special companions, Bandit, Charlie and Spanky. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, May 12 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Rev. Tom Penny, Rev. Buddy Brewington and Rev. Jimmie Weaver officiating.
