Mr. Sanford S. Price, 81

SALEMBURG Mr. Sanford Scott Price, 81 of 895 Laurel Lake Road, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at Salemburg Baptist Church with the Rev. John Adams and Rev. Earl Farthing officiating. Burial will follow in the Salemburg Cemetery. Mr. Price was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late Moody Scott and Bessie Irene Packer Price. He was an Army Veteran and was the owner and operator of Salemburg Pharmacy. Mr. Price is survived by: wife, Jane Howard Price, of the home; daughter, Jan Price Hylton and husband Jim, of Winston-Salem; sons, Sanford Scott Price, Jr. and wife Deborah, of Salemburg and Howard Nelson Price and wife Jeanelle, of Raleigh; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Price and wife Beth, Johnathan Price and wife Jamie, Hailey Price, Cameron Price, Chandler Price, Mary Ann Hylton and Jimmy Hylton; three great-grandchildren, Kalynn Price, Brittany Levy and Cody Levy; brother, Furman Clark Price, of Cherry Grove, SC. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Howard Cooper Scholarship Fund at Salemburg Baptist Church.
