Samuel Earl Youngblood affectionately known as “Sam” & “Pepaw” to family & friends, passed away on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024. Born on October 10th, 1958 to parents, Joel & Lenora Royal in Albany, Georgia. Sam was known for always helping anyone he could, spending time with family and friends whenever possible, riding his Harley Davidson when the weather permitted, & enjoying life every day he could.

In 1975, Sam married the love of his life, Catherine (“Cathy”), and together they nurtured a family that would grow to include their children, Samuel Earl Youngblood II (“Little Sammy”) and Kimberly Ann Youngblood (Humphrey), 5 grandchildren Joshua, Kirsten, Andrew, Caylee & Braylen, & 1 Great granddaughter, Mayla, Sam’s legacy is carried on through his family, whom he loved with every fiber of his being.

Predeceased by his loving wife in 2009 after 33 years of marriage, Sam’s memory is honored & kept alive by his parents Joel & Lenora Royal of Wade, brothers Robert Youngblood (and wife, Cindy), Andrew “Andy” Royal (and wife, Minh-Anh) of Wade, sister Pamela “Pam” Warren (and husband, Samuel “Sam”) of Myrtle Beach, SC, his children, “Sammy” Youngblood (and fiance, Crystal) of Roseboro, Kimberly Humphrey (and husband, James, “Jim”) of Stedman, Grandchildren, Joshua Youngblood (and fiance, Ashley) of Eastover, Kirsten Wilson of Stedman, Andrew “Drew”, Caylee, & Braylen Youngblood of Roseboro & 1 Great Granddaughter Mayla Youngblood of Eastover, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, & friends.

A gathering of family & friends to honor & celebrate Sam’s life will be held Monday, March 25th, 2024 from 6pm- 8pm at Butler Funeral Home at 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, NC 28391.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 at 1pm & held at Butler Funeral Home at 6535 Clinton Road Stedman NC 28391. Burial will follow at the Royal Family Cemetery in Wade, NC.
