Samuel Webster Gore was born October 12, 1953 in Wilmington, NC to Charles and Maxine Gore.

Samuel Gore attended John T. Hoggard High School and graduated in 1971. He received an Associate Degree from Fruitland Bible College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mars Hill University and a Master’s Degree from Trinity Theological Seminary.

Samuel pastored several churches throughout his 36 years of ministry.

Samuel was joined in holy matrimony with Sharon Suggs Gore for 46 years. To this union Bill Gore was born.

Samuel departed this life on Monday, August 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Suggs Gore, parents, Charles and Maxine Gore and a brother, Alan Gore.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Bill Gore and granddaughter, Haley Gore; his sister, Wanda Bledson and husband, Major Donnie Bledson; sister-in-law, Carol Gore; nephews, Colin Bledson, Andrew Gore, Chris (Brandy) Gore; great niece, Sarah Gore; two great nephews, Caleb and Jacob Gore.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 4 at Corinth Baptist Church with Pastor W. A. Creech and Rev. Wilbert Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:50 PM on Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
