Mr. Samuel Ray Edwards, 76 of Roseboro went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Roseboro Cemetery with Rev. Hampton Faircloth officiating.

The family will receive friends at their home.

Mr. Edwards was a native of Sampson County, the son of Vaden and Viola Tew Edwards.  He was retired from DuPont.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Edwards; three daughters, Candy (Rex) Pilkington, Stacy (Mark) Brumbaugh and Pamela (David) Jones; ten grandchildren, Bethany Hall, Dillon Pilkington, Samantha Phillips, Jessica O’Dett, Kaylee Brumbaugh, Shaun Greene, Justin Greene, Brittany Blanchard, Ciara Greene, Kassadie Horne; and 10 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Roseboro First Baptist Church, 3720 S. Salemburg Hwy., Roseboro, NC  28382.
