Mrs. Sadie McLaurin Williams, 87 of Autryville, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Williams was born on September 15, 1930 to the late Archie Franklin and Rena Mae Faulkner McLaurin. She was a faithful member of Baptist Chapel Church. She worked at Salemburg Sewing Factory for several years and she and her husband owned and operated Williams Flower Shop in the Clement Community for 44 years. In her later years she worked around Williams Produce in Clement.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Nathan Thomas (N. T.) Williams, Jr. and a sister, Gernell Canady.
She is survived by a son, Wayne Williams and wife, Rosemary of Greenville; a granddaughter, Tonya Williams and husband, Ron of Hertford; two great grandchildren, Kendall and Jackson; one sister, Betty Adcox of Parkton; two brothers, Robert McLaurin and wife, Mae of Goldsboro and Dan McLaurin and wife, Ann of Eastover.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, June 4 at Baptist Chapel Church with Rev. Joey Cantrell and Rev. Alan Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM Monday at the church.
Services are entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC.
