Ruth Hairr Squires, 88

SALEMBURG

Mrs. Ruth Hairr Squires, 88 of Salemburg, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at her home.

The funeral will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, August 27, at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, with Alfred Tyndall and Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

Born June 21, 1929 in Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Ida Florence Beasley Hairr. She is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Frances Hairr; first husband, Billy Faircloth; second husband, Alonza Squires; and one grandchild. She retired from Hamilton Beach.

She is survived by three sons, William Keith Faircloth and wife Gailya of Salemburg, Larry Arnold Faircloth of Salemburg, James Wyman Faircloth and wife Elizabeth of Harrells; two sisters, Pearl Hall of Godwin, Geraldine Jackson and husband Bobby of Roseboro; nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:30pm to 2:45pm Sunday prior to the service, and other times at the home of Keith and Gailya, 560 Hollandtown Road, Salemburg.
