Mrs. Ruth Davis Lucas, 78

RALEIGH Mrs. Ruth Davis Lucas, of Raleigh, NC – formerly of Roseboro, NC born on April 9th, 1937, age 78, passed away January 15th, 2016 in her home. Mrs. Lucas was a very spiritual God fearing and respecting woman who is now absent from the body, but will be ever present with the Lord. Mrs. Lucas is preceded in death by her parents, sister and two of her brothers. She is the wife of WA Lucas of Roseboro, NC and mother of three children: Tim A. Lucas of Buies Creek, NC, Betty S. Lucas Gardner of Raleigh, NC and Jeffery J. Lucas of Roseboro, NC. She has one son in-law, Eddie Gardner of Raleigh, NC; two daughters in-law, Tonya Lucas of Roseboro, NC and Darlene Lucas of Buies Creek, NC. Five grandchildren include: Leigh Ann Lucas of Clinton, NC, Jeffery Taylor Lucas, Jacob Kyle Lucas, Jaden Ryan Lucas and the late Joshua Caleb Lucas, all of Roseboro, NC. Two great grandchildren include: Justin Reid and Lacy Lucas of Clinton, NC. She has one surviving brother, Earl Davis of Florida and two sisters in-law: Ada Davis of Florida and Ennis Ruth Edwards of Rocky Mount, NC. Two brothers in-law: Randolph Edwards of Rocky Mount, NC and Charles Arnett of Florida. Two uncles: Lacy Tanner and Jack Tanner. The family will welcome friends and family at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro on Friday, January 22nd from 7:00 to 9:00pm, followed by the service on Saturday, January 23rd at 11:00am. Interment will be held at the Lucas Family Cemetery - located on Microwave Tower Road, Roseboro NC.
