Ms. Ruth Hudson Bunce, 84 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Bethesda Health Care in Eastover.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Magnolia Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Travis Hoke & Rev. Jerry Parsons.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ludie Hudson; her husband of 66 years, Ernest “Toby” Bunce, Jr.; brothers, Thurmon Hudson, Bruford Hudson and Dee Hudson; sisters, Margaret Fisher, Shirley Fann and Peggy McDonald; and a son-in-law, Johnny Jackson.

Ruth was a former owner of Bunce Builders, with her late husband, Tobey, and she was a former teacher's assistant.  She also was a clerk with Red Apple Supermarket and A&P Grocery Store.  Her family and her church were her world, and she had a servant's heart, as she loved to cook and bake for others.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Martha Faircloth & husband, Terry and Jill Jackson all of Stedman; grandchildren, Randall Faircloth & wife, Candace of Charlotte and Johnathan Jackson & wife, Sarah of Suffolk, Virginia; and great granddaughters, Ellie Jackson and Avery Ruth Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth’s honor to Magnolia Baptist Church, 1021 Magnolia Baptist Church Road, Stedman, NC  28391.
