SGT. Rusty Ellis Russell, 68 of Lillington, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Valley Hospice House Surrounded by his family.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Kevin Edwards officiating.

Rusty was born in Muskingum County, Ohio. He was the son of Albert Okey and Judith Arlene Whyde Russell. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Carol Russell of the home; four step-children, Kim Dalton and family; Trudy Workman and family; Matthew Wood; and Cris Moffitt and family; and his brother, Rick McClintock and family.
