Mrs. Ruby Mae Jones Bass, 97

SALEMBURG Mrs. Ruby Mae Jones Bass, 97, of Salemburg died Sunday, February 2, 2014, at Southwood Nursing Center. Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Salemburg Baptist Church with Bishop Billy Jones and Dr. Earl Farthing officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bass was born on May 24, 1916, to the late Rev. William and Hattie Carr Jones. She is also preceded in death by: her husband, Crafton D. Bass; and one son, Maurice Bass. She is survived by: three daughters, Marilyn Lovell of Leland, Carol Adair and husband, Russ of Stedman and Cheryl Embry and husband, Bill of Clinton; two sons, Keith Bass and wife, Brenda of Salemburg and David Bass and companion, Bobby Parker of Salemburg; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 P.M., at the church, prior to the service. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
