Mrs. Ruby Kay (Horne) Cashwell, 90 went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 26, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Reverend Joe Hickson officiating. The burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to10:50 AM on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the church prior to the service.

Mrs. Cashwell was a native of Cumberland County, the daughter of Ammie and Minnie Rene Strickland Horne. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Byron Faircloth; sister, Elizabeth Daniels and two brothers, Arthur Horne and J.B. Horne.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Robert Cashwell of the home; her daughter-in-law, Paula Faircloth; several grandchildren; three brothers, Philip Horne, Gerald Horne and wife, Sue; and Larry Horne; her sister, Mitchell (Mickie) Land; and her sister-in-law, Jean Horne.
