Mr. Roy Vance Williams, 88, of Roseboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 12, 2026 at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh.
A funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Calvary Tabernacle PFWB Church with Reverend Marty Tew and Reverend Wayne Johnson officiating. The burial will follow at Calvary Tabernacle PFWB Church Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 2:50 PM on Friday, January 16, 2026 at the church prior to the service.
Mr. Williams was a native of Sampson County, the son of Loster and Mazzie Janie McPhail Williams. He was a veteran in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda Faye Williams; his brother, James Rufus “Rup” Williams; four sisters, Dixie Williams, Evon Linkous, Gertrude Williams, and Carolyn John; and his daughter, Brenda Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Michael D. Williams (Rose); two daughters, Lynette Honeycutt (Stevie), Beverly Johnson (Billy); seven grandchildren, Cori Boes (Chris), Kelly Spell, Carly Williams, Casie Williams, Bailey Clark (Dane), Evan Johnson (Vanna), and Ethan Johnson; four great grandchildren, Grey Darion, Audrey Boes, Charlie Rose Lawson and Marley Faye Lawson; his sister, JoAnn Miller (Larry); and lifelong friend, Woodrow Smith “Pud”.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
