Mr. Roy David Smith,, 70 Sr.

Mr. Roy David Smith, Sr., 70, of 13110 NC Highway 210 South, Roseboro, passed away Monday, October 9, 2006 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006 at 3 PM at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Compton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Smith was a native of Cumberland County, the son of the late David Hobson and Eula Glader Vinson Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by: wife, Joann Smith, of the home; two daughters, Pam Pollard and husband Keith and Donna Maguire and husband Paul, both of Roseboro; two sons, David Smith, Jr. and Ricky Smith and wife Shirley, both of Roseboro; sister, Mildred Davis, of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Duane Smith, Melinda Baize, Patrick Maguire, Jamie Smith, Jaded Maguire, Chris Pollard and Jon Pollard; three great-granddaughters. The family will recieve friends Wednesday night, Oct. 11, 2006 from 7 till 9 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
