Mr. Roy Alvin Sessoms, 80

ROSEBORO Mr. Roy Alvin Sessoms, 80 of 2320 Butler Island Road, died on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton. A private memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011. Roy was born in Sampson County and was the son of the late Ralph Roy and Myrtle Sessoms Sessoms. He served his country honorably with the United States Army, served three tours in Vietnam and retired with over 20 years of service and the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Sessoms. He is survived by his wife 58 years, Mary Edna Lee Sessoms of the home; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.A private memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011.
