Roy Timothy Hales

FAYETTEVILLE, NC Mr. Roy Timothy Hales, 62 of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 at his home. The funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Monday, October 14, at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 4693 Beaver Dam Church Road, Roseboro, with Reverend Tim McQueen officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:50pm prior to the service. Mr. Hales was a native of Cumberland County, the son of the late Marion and Eula Mae Hales.  He worked as a telephone cable splicer. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Hales of the home; two sons, T. J. Hales of Elizabethtown, Roy Hales of Fayetteville; two step sons, David Jackson of Fayetteville, Robert Jackson of Fayetteville; step daughter, Melissa Gray of Fayetteville; two sisters, Audrey Horne of Fayetteville, Gloria Reynolds of Florence, SC; two brothers, John Brent Hales of Roseboro, Stephen M. Hales of Fayetteville; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Butler Funeral Home of Roseboro is serving the family.
