Mr. Ronnie Jay Lambert, 70 of Clinton passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Grove Park Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Threatt and Rev. Tom Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg.

Mr. Lambert was born in New Hanover County on January 6, 1945 to the late Henry Roland and Ila Harvell Lambert. He was a retired teacher at Tarheel Challenge and former probation officer.

He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Lambert Torchio and husband, Philip, Jr. of Raleigh; a grandson, Philip Torchio, III of Raleigh; one brother, Charles Lambert and wife, Phylis of Robbins; three nephews, Ben Tew, David Lambert and Charles Haywood Lambert; one niece, Kim Howell and his former wife and mother of his daughter, Cheryl Burgess of Roseboro.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM on Wednesday at the church and at other times at The Burgess Home, 614 McLamb Street, Roseboro, NC.

Memorial may be made to Grove Park Baptist Church, 609 Northeast Blvd, Clinton, NC 28328.
