Ronald Kirby Thompson, 69 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Rev. Andy Wood.  Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery (on Bethel Church Road, Dublin).

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, November 22, 2021 at the funeral home.

Kirby was raised in Dublin by his grandparents, the late Benjamin Kirby Thompson and Matilda Jane Brisson Thompson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 41 years, Sarah Starling Thompson of the home; daughters, April Faye Seabrooks & husband, James of Fayetteville, Teresa Kay Wilk & husband, Joseph of Scott Air Force Base, IL, and Shannon Mathilda Thompson of Raeford; grandchildren, Alyssa Danielle Price, Emily Kate Wilk, Jacob Aiden Wilk, Mason James Wilk, and Sarah Elizabeth Wright.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the hospice nurses, Carol and Pam for the loving care they showed to Kirby and all of the family during his illness.  They would also like to say thank you to all of the family, friends and visitors that have shown them so much love during this time.
