Mr. Ronald Allen Smith, 76 passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, April 23, 2021 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Reverend Tim McQueen and Reverend Richard Smith. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:50 PM at the church prior to the service.

Mr. Smith was a native of Cumberland County, the son of David Jessup and Rossie Allen Pate Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Franklin Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Horne Smith of the home; two daughters, Mary Edwards and husband, Avery of Beulaville and Sharon Smith Frost and husband, Jimmie of Autryville; three sisters, Lula Hansen and husband, Eddie of Raleigh, Julia Hansen and husband, Art of Clinton and Gaynelle Bryant of Garland; three brothers, Leslie Smith and wife, Linda, Richard Smith and wife, Patricia and Lynn Smith and wife, Susan all of Garland; six grandchildren, Brandy Hanson, Jessica Frost, Kristen Frost, Elizabeth Edwards, William Edwards and Chester Hanson; and three great grandchildren, Charlie Hanson, Jonathan O’Boyle and Ronald Hanson.

In lieu of flowers,  donations may be made to Butler Funeral Home, P. O. Box 638, Roseboro, NC  28382 to help the family offset funeral expenses.
