Mr. Ronald G. Lucas,, 64 Sr.

ROSEBORO Mr. Ronald Gene Lucas, Sr., 64 of 1671 Butler Island Road, died on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Glenn Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Mr. Lucas was born in 1944 and was a native of Sampson County. He is preceded in death by: his father, Donald Edward Lucas; and one son, Ronald Gene Lucas, Jr. He worked as an Equipment Operator with the Telephone Company. Mr. Lucas is survived by: one son, Stephan Wayne Lucas of Roseboro; two daughters, Dora Lucas Autry and Tammy Lynn Mitchell, both of Roseboro; one step daughter, Candie McLeod of Roseboro; his mother, Lola Lee Lucas of Roseboro; two brothers, Johnny Lucas and Kevin Lucas, both of Roseboro; five sisters, Linda Kaye Scholl of Wapha, Karen Faircloth of Roseboro, Anita Rawlings of Virginia, Kim Allen of Benson, and Sherri Godwin of Roseboro. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, and other times at the home.
