Mr. Robert Franklin Singer, Jr.

Ret. First SGT Robert Franklin Singer, Jr., 62 passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

He retired from the United States Army with 22 years of service, and was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne.

He is survived by his wife, Deronda Singer; children, Jason Singer & wife, Karen, Shannon Beddow & husband, Ray and Ronnie Chappell, Jr.; grandchildren, Samantha Singer, Kathryn Singer, Ashley McCormick, Makayla Procter, William Beddow, Mathew Chappell and Aaron Chappell; siblings, Debra Harris & husband, Leon, Diana Snider & husband, Bruce, Christine Music & husband, Bobby, Daniel Singer and Sandra Hornberger & husband, Kevin; 10 nieces and nephews and 19 great nieces and great nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 26, 2017 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, with the rendering of full military honors. Officiating will be Rev. Joyce Carter.
