Robert Earl Sessoms, 66 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Tom Hayes officiating.  Burial will follow at church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service.

Robert was born in Sampson County to the late Ralph Sessoms and Geneva Greene Sessoms.  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Sessoms.

Robert was a police officer with the Town of Roseboro before going to the Clinton Police Department, where he retired with 28 years of service.  He was also on the Roseboro Fire Department and the Roseboro Rescue Squad for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Tabitha Millen and husband, Leon of Roseboro, Bradley Sessoms of Roseboro, and Taylor Kelley & husband, Steven of Autryville; grandchildren, Devin, Kaley and Brooke Millen, and Korbin Kelley; great granddaughter, Piper Millen; sister, Brenda Hobson & husband, Henry of Roseboro; brother, Milton Sessoms & wife, Bobbie Sue of Roseboro; special niece, Tonia Hobson; and many other nieces and nephews.
